The River; or the river card; is
the last card dealt into the community cards; 3 are dealt in the flop in
Texas two card hold-em which is the first three cards that are dealt face up on the
table. They are also known as the "community cards". The flop often
will decide whether you have a chance at winning the round or not. After the flop
comes what is known as the turn then follows the last community card to come up which is
called "the river card". According to Hoyle; the river card
decides a large number of the hands in two card Texas hold'em poker.
